NEW RELEASE • Mar 4 2026
Productive 4.24
@Productive, can you release version 4.24? This March, we’re launching a major new feature: Meet Productive’s AI Assistant, designed to help you move faster and focus on delivering value.
We’re also introducing a long-time fan favorite with Scheduling on Tasks, and a way to structure your resourcing needs with Resource Requests.
Productive AI 🪄
- Productive now has its very own AI Assistant: Ask it to build a report, set up an Automation, or create Projects or Tasks. There’s much more coming up, including tools to support your CRM and Resourcing.
- You can also talk to the AI Assistant directly from Slack. For example, ask Productive to create a task and assign it to a team member by typing @Productive.
Budgets & Time Tracking ⏰
- Work time can now be defined freely, instead of using pre-set intervals. This gives you more flexibility when setting up employee hours.
- Use the Intercompany hours field in Company Time > Table view to track hours logged across subsidiaries. This field shows when employees from one subsidiary work on projects for another.
- When exporting time entries in the Client mode (which hides internal financial data), you can now include Task fields for each entry.
Project Management âś…
- You can now create project-specific Task templates to standardize workflows. Just turn an existing task into a template in the Task options, and you’ll be able to use it for that project.
- Private Project Tabs can now be reordered and tucked away—however, public Tabs can still only be managed by users with the appropriate permissions.
- For Task numbering schemes, you can now use the first four characters in your or your client’s company code. You can set this up in Settings > General > Numbering scheme.
- In Docs, you can now format text into multiple columns (up to 5) to list information side-by-side.
Reports & Dashboards 📊
- You can now use custom formula fields to filter your Reports (excluding the C&A data source).
- Chart visualisations now include 2 additional options: Stacked bar and column. These allow for displaying multiple fields with the same unit in a single column or bar, so you can compare how different metrics contribute to the total.
- Dashboard widgets will now display Table elements (axes, legend) at much smaller dimensions. So you can have more widgets on the screen, and still interpret your data.
Resourcing 👥
- Scheduling people to work on tasks is finally here! You can now create bookings directly on tasks, and see their impact on your project financials. Bookings are also tied to the task’s timeline, so any significant changes sync automatically. To use this feature, go to Settings > Resourcing and turn on the toggle.
- You can now create Requests for Resources for a clearer, more standardized process for resourcing needs: PMs describe their requirements, and RMs review and resolve requests. Productive will also suggest best matches based on requirements. To use this feature, go to Settings > Resourcing and turn on the toggle (Ultimate plan only).
Sales đź’°
- Your Proposal PDF can now display the date when it was created. Just enable it as an option in the Document Templates (Customization > Info section).Â
- We’ve added three new Deal Aging fields into your Reporting, so you can analyze stage duration and inactivity across the Deal lifecycle. These include: Days in Current Stage, Deal Age (Days), and Days Since Last Activity.
Integrations 🧩
- The HubSpot integration has been improved to reduce sync issues on deals from HubSpot.
Quick Start 🎓
- Productive’s Quick Start tutorials have been improved with additional materials and interactive sections. Access it from the heading (next to the AI Assistant), or re-enable it in Settings > Account > Onboarding.
New Way to Plan Work: Scheduling on Tasks
Productive’s most requested feature is finally here! You can now create one or multiple bookings directly on a task, and see how it impacts your project budgets. If you want to plan on granular units of work and still get the big-picture insights, this feature is for you.
