WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in audit, controlling, or a similar finance role. You understand how businesses operate, have a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, and feel confident working with spreadsheets and financial data.
This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, quick to learn, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external accounting partners to help keep our financial processes accurate and well-coordinated.
This role pays a range of:
EUR 1,800 – 2,500 gross for an employment contract

ABOUT THE JOB
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Finance Specialist at Productive, you’ll support day-to-day finance operations and help keep our financial data accurate, complete, and actionable. You’ll work closely with the Finance team on preparing journal entries, cost control, reporting support, and a variety of financial and administrative tasks, using AI tools to simplify routine work and improve efficiency.
This role is designed for someone who can start by owning operational work and gradually grow into forecasting, financial planning, and reporting responsibilities.
You’ll be:
Preparing journal entry documentation for Croatian and US entities and ensuring accurate, complete financial records in coordination with external accounting partners
Reviewing costs, revenues, and invoices to ensure all documentation is properly received, verified, and booked
Verifying cost postings and maintaining clean, accurate financial data across systems
Preparing outgoing invoices and supporting incoming invoice tracking and payment preparation
Supporting intercompany billing between Croatian and US entities
Tracking actual costs against budgets and supporting regular monitoring of financial performance
Assisting with consolidation, internal reporting, and preparation of SaaS and management metrics
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as performing ad hoc financial analyses to support planning and decision-making
Handling finance-related administrative processes, including documentation for banks, ministries, incentives, ESOP, and other operational needs

Here’s what makes an excellent fit for this role:
You have 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally in audit, controlling, or a similar finance role
You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and standards
You’re comfortable working with data in Excel and/or Google Sheets
You’re highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel
You work accurately and reliably, even in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
You’re proactive, resourceful, and take ownership of your work
You’re motivated to learn and grow within a finance function, and curious to expand beyond operational tasks
Bonus points:
Experience working with accounting software
Experience with budgeting, reporting, or financial planning
Familiarity with AI tools in day-to-day work
Interest in SaaS business models and metrics
Curiosity about broader finance topics beyond bookkeeping and administration
