Productive 4.19

Productive 4.19 brings a major update to your Budgeting and Deals tabs. We’re also introducing a faster method to invoice recurring budgets and create subtasks, and Private Folders for more control over your data.

Automations 🤖

  • Automations can now create subtasks, complete with key details — assignee, dates, subscribers — to keep your projects organized down to the smallest detail.

Budgeting & CRM  💰

  • We’ve redesigned the tabs in your Budgets and Deals for more control and clarity. Use the Services tab’s new customizable table to work with the data that matters most to you, and head to the Overview tab for a quick, visual read on your profitability and budget performance.
  • You can now add the “Contact” field to Proposal and Budget documents. This field can be translated to supported languages or reordered according to your document design. You can also hide it, if necessary.
  • Additionally, the “Notes” section in your documents will now display empty rows (if added) for better formatting.
  • In Expenses and Purchase Orders line items, your Quantity amount can now be less than 1 for more precise financial tracking.

Invoicing 🧾

  • Invoices for recurring budgets are now automatically created (as drafts). Just set up your template, and when it’s time, your invoice will be ready for you to review and send.
  • In line items, you can now add text to your description, with a couple of editing options (bold, underline, bullet points, etc.) for improved clarity when invoicing.
  • In your CRM > Companies, you can now add a default billing recipient. This address will be immediately filled in the “TO” section of your invoice when you’re sending them to clients from Productive.
  • Additionally, instead of saving settings from your previous invoices, we’ve updated the hierarchy for how subsidiary and document template data is filled.

Project Management âś…

  • We’ve added Private Folders to help you control what your clients can see and do in your workspace. A private folder will have a đź”’ icon to differentiate it, and you won’t be able to assign clients to tasks within them.
  • You can now edit the name and project manager of archived projects — useful when you’re updating roles, responsibilities, or doing internal admin.
  • We’ve also added a performance update for creating projects from templates or duplicating them: tasks will be created in the background, so simply wait out the spinner animation or refresh the page to see them.

System ⚙️

  • In Settings > Appearance, we’ve added a toggle that turns chart animations off. This change applies to your workspace only.
