Productive 4.25

As we gear up for our landmark release next month, this release brings a wave of improvements across AI, integrations, reporting, and more, with something for everyone.

Productive AI 🪄

  • When talking to the Productive Assistant, you can expand the window to full size.
  • You can also start a conversation with the Assistant on your mobile device.
  • AI Search comes to the Assistant. Just describe what you’re looking for in natural language (“that project with the Madrid client from last year”) even if you don’t know where to look.

Budgets & Time Tracking ⏰

  • Approval policies are now available on Budgets and Deals. This means the Budget owner is no longer the sole approver, but any person added to the policy. You can also assign different people to approve Time entries or Expenses.
  • You can now set Automations for Expenses imported via CSV.
  • Set a parent company for each client you’re working with, and use this information when filtering in Reports.
  • Any changes to a Contact will now appear in the feed, such as when a number is added or deleted, or a new email is assigned.

Dashboards 📊

  • When you add a widget to the Dashboard, it will be saved automatically, for both regular and project Dashboards.

Integrations 🧩

  • Add your Gmail or Outlook inbox folders, along with labels. Interact with all of your emails without ever leaving Productive.
  • Calendar events from Google and Outlook will now appear in the Day View when tracking time.
  • Sync invoices and expenses to Oracle NetSuite and keep your accounting information streamlined.

Project Management ✅

  • If you have a project template with a tab layout you’d like to reuse, you can now copy it to an existing project.
  • You can now copy code in its original formatting to Docs.

Resourcing 👥

  • Bookings now show non-working days. If you try to move a booking to a non-working day, it won’t be taken into account.
  • Some under-the-hood tweaks will make Resourcing faster and more responsive.

Reports 📈

  • A new Proposals data source is now available in Reports.
  • You can now manually define recognised revenue in Productive. When set, this will override your default revenue recognition settings. As always, this applies to fixed service types only. Time and materials will continue to follow the usual logic.

System 💰

  • Time for a splash of color! 🦄 Add color to text and backgrounds in Docs, Tasks, Document templates, Note widgets, and Budget/Proposal PDFs.
