Productive Monthly Updates: February

This February, we focused on resource management, invoicing and reporting.

Allocating the work for your teammates in Productive is the best way to plan upfront, and we’ve added significant improvements to resource management so you can get even more from it. And just in time for the beginning of the fiscal year, you’ll find improvements in document templates and a brand new integration.

New In Resource Management & Time Off

Let’s begin with Bookings – if you’re booking your teammates using the percentage of their available time, the calculation will now round to the closest value in minutes, which means your Utilisation reports will be more accurate.

Next, customers on Professional and Ultimate pricing plans can now revert confirmed bookings to tentative bookings.

Also, when you create a time off category, now you can add a description for it. This is useful if you have several categories that appear similar at first or if you just want to be sure that your teammates use the right category and prevent any errors. The description will also appear when looking at the booking in Resourcing:

And finally, the loading speed of the Resourcing screen is now way faster – and who doesn’t love a power-up?

Sage Integrations & Fortnox Payment Sync

If you’re using Fortnox as your accounting tool of choice, you can now sync payments to Productive, so when an invoice is marked as paid, this will reflect in Productive.

We’ve also added the popular Sage Accounting as an official integration. Now you can send invoices and credit notes to Sage, and as with other integrations, payments recorded in Sage will sync to Productive.

Finally, regardless of which integration you’re using (or not using): When creating an invoice, now you can show or hide the service type on the document template.

Improved Reports

When creating a Financials report in Reports, now you can filter financial items by Deal / Budget status, meaning that you can pull out a report that tells you, e.g., the number of hours tracked on all lost deals in the last quarter.

Also, HR and project managers rejoice – the header in the Company Time Report is now sticky, which is great for scrolling through those long reports.

Still To Come:

  • Budget templates
  • Scenario builder
  • Productive AI
  • Automatically move dependent tasks

We’re always looking to make your experience of using Productive better.

We’ll keep you updated as we ship more improvements. The following Monthly Updates will arrive at the beginning of April 2024.
